7. UPDATES ON OTHER PLANNING MATTERS
Advertisement Banners in the Green Belt
The Committee had previously noted an email sent to the Development Control Manager at Cannock Chase Council (dated 22 March 2022) drawing attention to a longstanding enquiry and many requests for clarification on advice previously given on the display of advertisement banners in the Cannock Chase AONB.
A list of dates of the enquiries made to the Planning Department between August 2020 and November 2021 were detailed in full.
The Council noted that the Development Control Manager had now left the authority.
The Council concluded that it would like to understand the District Council’s interpretation on planning policy relating to the display of advertisement banners in the Green Belt and the Clerk was asked to purse the enquiries with the Planning Department.
Councillor Sutherland asked to receive a list of the questions that were outstanding.
Field Opposite Stafford Brook Farm
The Committee noted that Cannock Chase Council’s Planning Control Committee would be considering planning application CH/22/0002 (Field opposite Stafford Brook Farm, Stafford Brook Road) on Wednesday 8 June 2022. A site visit would be held prior to the meeting.
8. DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next Planning Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday 26 July 2022.
The venue to be confirmed.
